Welcome to the Wroughton Choral Society Website!

Welcome to the website of Wroughton Choral Society, a small choir based in Wroughton, Wiltshire. Our principal aims are to sing for our own enjoyment and to show this in the concerts that we give. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Wroughton.

We will be starting rehearsals for our next concert on Wednesday 2 October 2019.

We continue to fund-raise for charitable causes, mainly through concert proceeds.

Over recent months the choir has donated:
£200 to the GWH Brighter Futures appeal
£230 to Medicine Sans Frontières
£550 to the SSAFA (the Armed Forces Charity)
£245 to Tear Fund

Many thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to our recent Come and Sing Vivaldi Gloria on September 28 2019.

Everyone who attended seems to have enjoyed the day, and the delicious cakes and snacks were particularly well received.

Thank you all once again for helping to make the day a success – we are already being asked when the next one will be!

Upcoming Concerts

Our next concert will be held on Sunday 8 December 2019 at Wroughton Parish church.

This will be a traditional Christmas concert including a mix of traditional songs and Christmas carols.

Next year we mark our 25th anniversary with an orchestral performance of Haydn’s Nelson Mass on Saturday 16 May 2020.

Any singers interested in taking part please contact us or come along to the next rehearsal.
